Student

Sunday Morning Student Fellowship Classes

Every Sunday morning, starting w/ donuts at 9:30! Junior High students are studying through the book of Luke.  Senior High students are doing a study on the church, focusing on the book of Ephesians.

Strive

Led by our student servant leadership team, this large group gathering meets from 6-8pm the first Sunday of every month.  Our overarching goal is to strive together to “put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men . . .” (1 Timothy 4:10)  This is a casual environment made up of fun and challenging activities geared towards group interaction and teambuilding, praise and worship music to help us focus on God, and biblical teaching on relevant topics. This event is aimed at helping build relationships with each other, outreach to their friends and growing together through life application of biblical understanding.

Strive(together)

Our purpose is to train, equip, and challenge families with teenagers in our church to live out a priority of Loving God and Loving Others, first and foremost within the primary foundation of the family. These quarterly meetings are meant to help teenagers and their parents live this out by helping to build relationships with one another, the church body, the local community, and the world, all to the glory of God.  Our means to do this includes sharing a meal together, having purposeful combined and separate interactive times as youth and adults, biblically-sound and relevant teaching, as well as small group discussion – both in and outside the family.

Connect

Our small group ministry desires to build closer relationships within the student ministry and the greater church body, as we encourage each other in our walk with Christ.  The middle school guys and girls are led by high school upperclassman who desire to pour into the next generation of high schoolers.  They meet twice a month on Sunday nights, from 6:00-7:30.  The Senior high guys and girls small groups,  led by adult volunteers, meets every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30pm.  These small groups are a great way to build friendships, and feel a part of what God is doing in the lives of others.

Serve

Our goal is to help the students of GCC realize and live out the call to the mission of God by serving the needs of others for the sake of the gospel.  Acts 1:8 provides the framework goals:  Jerusalem – GCC ; Judea – Marietta; Samaria – Atlanta; Ends of the earth.  We create regular opportunities for our teens to serve in each of these areas, all to the glory of God.
