The Armor of God

by Priscilla Shirer

7 Lessons - Begins: Wednesday, August 29th 10:00am-12:00pm

Leader: Heather Corhan

Description: All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you - unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. But his battle plan depends on catching you unaware and unarmed. If you're tired of being pushed around and caught with your guard down, this study is for you.

Counter Culture

by David Platt

8 Lessons - Begins: Wednesday, October 24 9:30am - 11:30am

Leader: Rachel Haddon

Description: The world is full of injustice and we are often quick to defend social issues that are popular such as serving the poor, orphaned, and enslaved. But there are other issues of morality shaping our culture that are more costly and unpopular for us to combat such as persecution, abortion, and same-sex marriage. The gospel compels us to stand firm on the truth of God's Word and approach every issue with compassion and grace. This video-enhanced Bible study from Dr. David Platt will challenge students to fix their eyes on the glory of God and to counter the culture in a way that points people to Jesus.

Location: GCC Book: $15.99 available at Lifeway (although not required, it is highly recommended)

Understanding Spiritual Gifts

A Precept NO HOMEWORK Study

6 weeks - Begins: Wednesday, August 29th 10:00am - 11:30am

Description: Understanding Spiritual Gifts takes you straight to God's Word to discover answers from the Gift-Giver Himself. As you dig into Bible passages about God's design for each of us, you'll find out that spiritual gifts aren't complicated--but they are life-changing. Here you will uncover what spiritual gifts are, where they come from, who has them, how they are received, and how they work within the church. As you study, you will have a new vision for how you can use your God-given gifts to bring hope to your home, your church, and a hurting world.
